The high-purity filter system of MSL compressor's breathing air compressor won the National Fire Commissioner's Award.
Korea Fire Institute (President Kim Il-soo, hereinafter referred to as the Institute) announced on the 26th that it had awarded the ‘13th Fire Industry Awards’ and the ‘9th Fire Industry Excellence Design Contest’ through the ‘2021 Fire Service Non-face-to-face Awards Ceremony.’ The 'Fire Industry Awards', hosted by the National Fire Agency and organized by the Institute, is a system that selects and rewards individuals and organizations that have commercialized new technology through development, and is divided into three categories: ▲Industrial Technology Sector, ▲Facility Safety Sector, and ▲R&D Sector. 19 excellent examples of technology were honored with 6 awards, including the Presidential Award.
Director Kim Il-soo of the Institute said in a video congratulatory speech, “I hope that creative and practical products and designs discovered through the Fire Industry Awards and Design Contests create high added value for our fire industry and contribute to the development of the K-fire industry that is expanding globally. I ask for your continued interest and support in improving the quality of our country’s firefighting products and hazardous materials facilities.”
The awards ceremony lasted about 20 minutes, followed by a congratulatory speech from the head of the Institute, introduction of the winning works and products, and acceptance speeches.
It was evaluated as a realistic use of the recent non-face-to-face communication atmosphere that has become familiar due to COVID-19 by allowing attendees to watch videos and communicate in real time simply by accessing the awards ceremony's YouTube link without restrictions on number of people or location.
Meanwhile, the Institute plans to reveal this year's award-winning technologies, products, and designs through its official YouTube account and website archives.
